PairKeep is operated by Ether-X Ltd (Registered in England & Wales, Company Number 17123706), the data controller for the personal data you provide to us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Account details: email address, name, hashed password.
- Household data: expenses, obligations, warranties, custom dates, and any documents you upload.
- Billing metadata: Stripe customer id, subscription status, invoice references. We do NOT store payment card details.
- Reminder delivery logs (who was emailed, when, and the delivery status).
- Standard technical logs (IP, user-agent, request path) for security and debugging.
Lawful basis
- Contract: to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest: product improvement, fraud prevention, service security.
- Consent: marketing emails (opt-in only).
Where your data lives
PairKeep is operated on infrastructure owned and run by Ether-X Ltd in London, United Kingdom. Account credentials, household records, uploaded documents, and reminder events are stored on this UK-based infrastructure. We do not use a third-party database or cloud authentication provider.
Processors
The only third parties that process your personal data on our behalf are:
- Stripe (payments) — handles card data and subscription state.
- Postmark (transactional email) — sends invites, reminders, and account emails.
Both are bound by Data Processing Agreements and process data only for the purposes described above.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. From settings you can export your household data, and delete your account, at any time. For other requests email [email protected].
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. After account deletion, household content is removed within 30 days; billing records are retained for 7 years for tax compliance.
